Let’s leave the detailed notes to the composers.

Below is suggested language that you can easily share with your attorney or financial advisor to make a gift in your will or trust. 

Tanglewood and the Boston Pops are programs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. To leave gifts to these programs, we suggest the following language: 

"I give and devise ($_____ or _____% of estate), without reduction for any tax occasioned by my death, to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Inc., a Massachusetts charitable corporation located at Symphony Hall in Boston, Massachusetts (the “BSO”), to be used to support Tanglewood/Boston Pops. If in the future this specific use can no longer be met, then the BSO may direct this gift to support expenses as similar as possible in keeping with my original intent." 

To leave a gift to the BSO, we suggest the following language: 

"I give and devise ($_____ or _____% of estate), without reduction for any tax occasioned by my death, to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Inc., a Massachusetts charitable corporation located at Symphony Hall in Boston, Massachusetts (the “BSO”), to be used or disposed of as the BSO in its sole discretion deems appropriate."
