James Cooke
About
James Cooke received his bachelor's degree from University of Illinois and his master's degree from Boston University. A member of the Boston Composers String Quartet, he studied violin with Joseph Silverstein, Denes Zsigmondy, and Malcolm Lowe. Before joining the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1987, Cooke was an active member of Boston's musical community, performing with such ensembles as the Handel and Haydn Society, Alea III, SinfoNova, and the orchestra of the Boston Ballet.
