Welcome back to Symphony Hall!

We are thrilled that our beautiful Hall is open again for live concerts and volunteer projects! The Hall is truly a treasure for music lovers everywhere, and we are looking forward to seeing all of you at in-person concerts again, as well as at volunteer activities in the Hall.

There are new protocols for BSAV Volunteers that we all must follow whenever anywhere in Symphony Hall:

  • Face masks must be worn at all times in the Hall and anywhere in the Symphony building.
  • Volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the building. Erin will check your record of vaccinations before you can volunteer. She does not, however, keep or store any vaccination records you send to her.
  • In order to reach the BSAV Office and any other rooms on C2, volunteers will need to borrow an access badge at the Stage Door entrance when signing in. The badge will give you elevator access to get off at C2. The badge also allows you to open the C2 stairwell door. However, it is not needed to reach the Archives via the basement.

Many volunteer projects are currently being staffed in Boston this fall, including:

Archives, Café flowers, Community Chamber Concerts, Hall Décor, Hosts, Mailings, "Quarter Notes" volunteer newsletter, Thank You Calling, and Volunteer Applicant Liaison.

While the "bricks and mortar" Symphony Shop is currently closed, we are excited to announce that a pop-up shop is open during Holiday Pops. We will have volunteer staffing for this.

And here's some great news: New volunteers are joining our ranks in Boston! We currently have 14 new volunteers, and expect to add a few more in 2022.

We hope to see all of you in Symphony Hall for a concert or for a volunteer project in the very near future!
