Zebulon Ellis

About
There have been platforms and stages, arenas and auditoriums, festivals and churches, TV shows and movies, even two times at the White House on which he has performed as a musical feature.
He’s been a top runner on BET’s Sunday’s Best Competition, not once, but twice, in Season 2 and Season 8. He’s gone on tour and can be found on DVD in his role as Rev. Walker in Tyler Perry’s Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned. Or maybe you heard him as C.L. Franklin’s singing voice on National Geographic’s 2021 biopic of Aretha Franklin, "Genius: Aretha," where he also served as musical coordinator for three of the series’ eight episodes.
He’s served as a music director and worship leader at someone’s church, school, or event since the age of 10. Ellis has been singing background vocals for Gospel, R&B, and Soul artists since the age of 17. He has also released his own music, currently available for download on every digital platform.
This Morehouse man has overcome defeat, abuse, misunderstanding, failure, bullying, low self-esteem, and much like everyone else in this world, trying to find his place in life, love, and acceptance.
Just like the Hebrew meaning of his name, “to give honor to”, he chooses to give honor to God through his mission to share hope, and to relate one song at a time with those who can hear or see him as a testament to overcoming struggle and finding their destiny within God's perfect will.
His song will always point to something bigger than what the human experience can grasp or contain. His song will always point to love. And since God is love, his song will always, directly or indirectly, point to God!
