A versatile artist commended for his powerful stage presence and voice, McNeel, a native of Dallas, TX, has been featured in operas, musicals, recitals, and concerts throughout the United States and Europe.

Most recently, he has appeared in concert with the Greater Boston Stage Company and the North End Performing Arts Center, and as a swing/understudy in Legacy Theatre Connecticut’s production of A Christmas Carol. Past season highlights include appearances with Boston Lyric Opera, Lyric Stage Boston, Odyssey Opera, The Princeton Opera Festival, Cincinnati Opera, New Repertory Theatre, Hartford Opera Theatre, MassOpera, Boston Opera Collaborative, Wildwood Parks for the Arts, and regional tours with the American Spiritual Ensemble, including a concert with renowned opera singer Kathleen Battle.

McNeel is a proud recipient of the Lotte Lenya Competition’s Emerging Talent Artist award from the Kurt Weill Foundation, as well as multiple classical music and musical theater awards from the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a master’s degree from Emerson College. When not on stage, McNeel is the manager of marketing and tourism at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
