About
Mark Fabulich grew up in Idyllwild, California, and studied tuba performance at Fullerton College, Boston Conservatory, Conservatoire de Lausanne in Switzerland, and New England Conservatory. He has performed with numerous professional orchestras and award-winning brass quintets, won an international solo competition in 2000, and was a member of the Hot Tamale Brass Band at Fenway Park during the historic 2003 and 2004 Red Sox seasons. Fabulich got his introduction to the field of orchestra librarianship in 1999 with the Boston Symphony and Pops orchestras; he quickly discovered he enjoyed the work and decided to pursue it as a career. He has served as librarian, orchestra manager, and stage manager for Northwestern University School of Music orchestras and the Colburn School Conservatory of Music. From 2008-2011, Fabulich assisted the libraries of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, and Hollywood Bowl. In 2011, he was appointed Music Librarian of the Los Angeles Opera, and of the Los Angeles Master Chorale orchestra in 2015.
