Christopher Chew last appeared with the Boston Pops as a guest narrator in ’Twas The Night Before Christmas for one of their annual Holiday Pops concerts. His professional career in Boston spans well over twenty years. Most recently he played Mayor Trundle in the two-person comedy Popcorn Falls at Greater Boston Stage Company and was a proud member of the company’s award-winning ensemble production of All Is Calm. Previous credits include the role of Joe Josephson in the Huntington Theatre’s acclaimed production of Merrily We Roll Along, Bud in Bridges of Madison County (SpeakEasy Stage), Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady (Lyric Stage Company), Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol (Hanover Theatre), Sweeney in Sweeney Todd (Lyric Stage Co.), and Shrek in Shrek The Musical (Wheelock Family Theatre). Other favorites include Dan in Next to Normal (SpeakEasy), Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha (Lyric Stage), Fredrik in A Little Night Music (Lyric Stage), Johnny Guitar in Johnny Guitar (SpeakEasy), and George in Sunday in the Park with George (Lyric Stage). He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University (BFA in drama) and Northeastern University (Ed.D. in educational leadership).
