Tenor Alexander Kravets’ 2023-24 season comprises roles as L’Incredible in Andrea Chénier at the Royal Opera House; Drunken Prisoner, Prisoner with an Eagle, and Prisoner 2 in From the House of the Dead at Ruhrtriennale Bochum; Shipman in The Tale of Tsar Saltan at La Monnaie Brussels and Teatro Real Madrid; Chekalinsky in Pique Dame at Semperoper Dresden; and Second Jew in Salome at Grand Théâtre de Genève. Highlights of Kravets’ previous seasons include singing Goro in Madama Butterfly at the Royal Opera House; Platon Karataev in War and Peace at Grand Théâtre de Genève; Ulisse in Ronchetti’s Inferno at Frankfurt Opera; Drunken Cossack in Mazeppa with Berlin Philharmonic and at the Baden-Baden Festival; Police Officer in The Nose at Covent Garden and Komische Oper Berlin; The Swan in Carmina burana at Opera Bergen; Clare Quilty in Lolita at Prague National Theatre; Chekalinsky in Pique Dame at Teatro di San Carlo and at the Salzburg Festival; both Cherevin in From the House of the Dead and Astrologue in The Golden Cockerel at La Monnaie; the Marquis in The Gambler at Opéra de Monte-Carlo; the title role in The Nose at Aix-en-Provence Festival and Opéra de Lyon; and the District Police Inspector in Barrie Kosky’s production of The Nose for Covent Garden.
