Keeping Up Traditions with A Company Celebration at Pops

The time-honored celebration of the relationship between the BSO and the corporate community returns to Symphony Hall on Wednesday, December 7.

An event looked forward to all year long, A Company Celebration at Pops is the perfect time to recognize and highlight the partnerships between the corporate community and the BSO. The evening, which has been held for almost forty years, offers leaders from every industry the opportunity to entertain valued clients, employees, and friends in the company of Greater Boston’s top-level corporations. A special gala performance of Holiday Pops brings everyone together and caps off the evening, featuring Tony and Grammy-winning performer Heather Headley, who you may remember as Nala in the original Broadway cast of The Lion King, actress and comedian Jenny Slate, and the Boston Pops, led by Julien and Eunice Cohen Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart.

While corporate sponsors attend the pre-concert reception, the BSO is hard at work down the street at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, hosting a Youth Event for students selected by the BSO from various community partner organizations who will later also get to enjoy the concert.

Special memories are created around dinner, games, and activities, but the most special moment is the opportunity to meet with orchestra members and try out instruments – and maybe start dreaming about a new hobby or career - thanks to the BSO Instrument Playground The guests each receive gift bags filled with donated items from local companies, and sometimes, even Santa Claus himself delivers them. The conclusion of the event means that it is time for the students to board trolleys provided by Old Town Trolley to take them to the Holiday Pops concert.

A Company Celebration at Pops truly brings adults and children alike for one special evening where the power of music transcends everything and joins everyone together in this exciting holiday experience.
