Für Elise Reimagined | Beethoven & Romanticism

To celebrate the global impact of Beethoven, we are inviting musicians of all levels worldwide participate in Für Elise Reimagined.

Für Elise is easily one of Beethoven’s most famous and most recognizable works, a tender piece whose dedication sparks intrigue. While we may never know who “Elise” was or what she meant to Beethoven, the desire to dedicate music to those we love is universal. As part of the BSO’s Beethoven & Romanticism festival, we invite you to help us reimagine Für Elise for the world today.

To join this project, simply record a video of yourself interpreting Für Elise with any instrument and in any style or genre and submit it through the form below. A review committee will select videos to be highlighted on the BSO’s Facebook and Instagram throughout of the festival.

We also encourage you to share your videos on your personal social media, tagging us @bostonsymphony with the hashtag #furelisereimagined.

Ready to go? Download Beethoven’s score and get your camera ready!

  • We encourage submission in all styles, from all levels of performers! Please complete this application no later than Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 11:59pm ET for consideration.
