Where Words End: Music and the Natural World

The power, fragility, beauty, and danger of the natural world has long been an inspiration and source of fascination for artists. But we are no mere observers of nature; our actions profoundly impact the environment we inhabit. Starting this season, we present the works of composers including Sibelius, Beethoven, John Williams, Gabriella Smith, and Thomas Adès that call on us to listen deeply to the world around us and to reflect on our place within it.
