DUTILLEUX Métaboles
Our 2024 Tanglewood Fellows embark on a journey of compliments and contrasts from the classic to the contemporary: Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin is an impressionist piece that paints vivid, heartfelt tributes to friends fallen in war. Revueltas' Sensemayá is a powerful evocation of ritual and mysticism, and Henri Dutilleux’s Métaboles explores how the same ideas can evolve and morph into something new when presented from different perspectives.
